"Jake!!!!!! Jake!!! I want to commend you for the vestibular PT insights you’ve provided me after only two visits. You are my first medical provider in over a year of dealing with viral secondary symptoms who has looked more carefully at my eye tracking. After you informed me of the slower left eye, I looked up the consequences of this dysfunction for the brain. The symptoms fit a binocular vision dysfunction. Along with continued vestibular PT with you, I’ve made an appointment with an ophthalmologist to pursue a referral to a neural ophthalmologist. I think you’ve discovered the source of my distress with vision, vertigo, and mobility. Thank you so much for the work that you do!"

"This is the second time I’ve used Gaspar. The first time was after my daughter had knee surgery and I was so impressed with the level of care from Spencer that when I recently needed PT, I decided to come to Spencer. I’m not only impressed with his level of care and knowledge but also with that of the staff. They are very courteous and timely on my appointments. It’s a great practice. Randi is a compassionate and patient physical therapist and the entire team, from the staff to the office manager (Wyatt, Jacob, and Hanna) is encouraging and a pleasure to work with. Even when busy, they are positive and make you feel welcome. They are the reason I remained committed and motivated to show up. "I have been treated at both the Encinitas and Bressi Ranch branches. My most recent treatments have been at Bressi Ranch, under Dr. Ivan Vicario’s care. I have been very pleased with the care, respect and effectively progressive approach. The PTAs have also been very helpful. Dr. Paul Gaspar (another excellent PT who I usually see) referred me to Dr. Ivan, who is excellent with complex cases like me. Great service and care! "

"I couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful care I have been receiving from Jeff Brown at his PT clinic. Jeff is knowledgeable, he listens and explains what he is doing and why. He always is asking how you are doing during the treatment to make sure you are comfortable and he's not pushing too far. He's got "golden hands" and is really tuned in to what treatment is needed. I have been coming for a few weeks now and already feel like I have more mobility and strength in my shoulder. His staff are attentive , friendly and caring. I've already recommended him to my husband for his neck issues and I know it will help him too. "

"I’m old, pulled a hamstring, couldn’t shake it on my own. Hooked up with Melissa at Solana Beach Gaspar and she was the perfect person to work with. Diagnosed the injury, listened to my complaining/rotten jokes, worked tirelessly, tried alternative approaches when met with slow improvement, and eventually she fixed me up. "The facility has always been spotless and very clean. The staff is super friendly, have great attitudes are efficient and great to work with. This my third time there for three different issues: sore knees, whiplash and sciatic nerve pain. All three times, my soreness and/ or pain were relieved. "

"Laura is exemplary. She is knowledgeable, skilled and personable. Laura quickly found that I had muscle strength imbalance and lack of range of motion. She started me on specific exercises, stretches, and applied hands on treatments which relieved pain quickly allowing me to progress and heal. The results have been remarkable. "The crew over at Gaspar PT in Torrey Highlands was fantastic. I was dealing with post-surgery PT and they always made sure I was comfortable, knowing when it was appropriate to push me for the sake of regaining my mobility and strength. I worked with Bill and he was attentive and a great listener. He helped me prepare for doctor's appts by giving me good questions to ask, and set me up well for at-home exercise. All of the PT aides were kind and helpful. Thanks to them for their help!"

"This is a good physical therapy business. The therapists are all very friendly and make me feel really welcome. They also seem very happy with their jobs. They treat me with respect and listen to what I say about my pain level and difficulties I'm having and have solutions to help me. The facility is clean and bright and makes me feel better just being there. And I've had quite a bit of physical therapy over the past 35 years both in Encinitas and in far northern CA."

"I'm post-total knee replacement and have been working with that mean so-and-so Bill A. With all of his torture the likes of which Torquemada not even dreamed of, he's made me get to the point of being able to ascend and descend stairs no longer dependent upon the Up With The Bad, Down With The Good method. Strength is improving as is leg extension (we'll not mention those methods used to effect that). Strength in the operative leg has improved so much that I have no pain when doing his torture exercises or during my ADLs. Bottom line is that I consider myself extremely fortunate to have Bill as my therapist. He may be a mean so-and-so, but he certainly is wonderful. Thank you, Bill!"

"This place is the best for rehab after surgery or just getting a tune-up when things aren't working right. I have been a client of Philip DeMoss for over 8 years. He has treated me after hip replacements, torn rotator cuffs, and abdominal surgery, as well as various sprains, aches and pains. All the therapists at Gaspar are highly trained and very professional in their treatment approach. The at-home exercises that they have taught me provide the basis for an exercise routine that I can continue to use even after my sessions in the clinic are over. "

"I have been seeing a PT at Gaspar named Valentine Ngo. I have had migraine headaches for 17 years /after a spinal fusion. I have had numerous procedures done on my neck. Nothing has worked. Valentine has massaged once a week and had me do neck exercises twice a day at home. My headaches are getting further apart. I am able to feel better just by doing the exercises now. I am so thankful since I have tried so many other remedies."

"After an injury, I experienced chronic pain in my spine, right shoulder, and neck for over 18 months. I was referred to Ivan, who put me on the right path to long term healing! He took the time to listen to the full history of my pain, starting from the moment of injury up until the day that we began working together, and explained my continuing pain in a way that was easy to understand yet detailed and informative. By doing his recommended exercises, my pain levels drastically reduced, and now, I’m continuing to get stronger and have returned to living “normal” life — something that once felt impossible! Perhaps most importantly on my journey to healing, Ivan gave me the encouragement and hope that I needed to believe that I could thrive post-injury. As a bonus, the staff is wonderful, and each aid has also been very attentive and knowledgeable. I can’t recommend Ivan and Gaspar Physical Therapy highly enough! "

"Josh is an excellent physical therapist. I came to physical therapy with numbness and tingling in my left arm and leg and the same in my right leg. Within weeks the Josh was able to eliminate the problem and has been working to strengthen my neck so that the problem does not return. "I have been treated by many doctors over the years for debilitating hip pain. After receiving a hip replacement I returned for more therapy from the doctors at Gaspar in Torrey Hills. Both Spencer and Chelsea are excellent. They provide hands-on therapy as opposed to those so-called "therapists" who merely put you through a series of strengthening exercises on your own, then send you away (yes, Navy medical, I'm talking about You). After a couple of months of twice-weekly sessions with Spencer, I am pain-free and have regained full range of motion in my hip. Spencer has also provided a plan of stretches and strengthening exercises to do at home to keep my hip flexible and strong. It is my pleasure to recommend Spencer and his team at Gaspar. I will definitely return in the future if/when the need arises. Thank you for giving me my life back, Spencer!"

"I had a Total Right Knee Replacement on January 14 2020. Started Physical Therapy 5 days later. After researching several offices in our area we chose Gaspar Doctors of Phyical Therapy at the Torrey location due to its very close proximity to where we live. Our decision did not disappoint. Everyone has been very professional, very supportive and reassuring which motivated me to participate and work harder toward my recovery. The environment. My special thank you to Chelsea, Spencer and Jessica. I am hoping for no more surgeries in the future but if I would ever need PT in the future they will always my choice. "

"After 8 PT sessions on my left shoulder at a major hospital, with no positive results, I agreed to a steroid injection. This also did not help so they scheduled a MRI. When the results came back I had a 2mm through tear in a tendon. The MSK Doctor and Orthopedic surgeon recommended surgery. I received a second opinion on the MRI results and decided surgery was not an option. I had a friend who is currently getting his Doctorate in Physical Therapy for help and after researching San Diego, recommended Gaspar and in particular Spencer Schreckengaust. After 12 sessions with Spencer, and Chelsea in his absence, the results are remarkable. I now have 90% range of motion with my shoulder after starting with less than 50%. I also have a stretching and strengthening plan developed by Spencer that I will continue to follow to ensure I do not regress. I highly recommend this office for any PT needs. They are caring, professionals and a pleasure to work with."

"Spencer Schreckengaust and his team are wonderful! My daughter has Osgood-Schlatter in her knee. She's a soccer player and was playing through the pain and her body began to compensate. Through different exercises and stretches, (one set before and after games/practices and another set on days without) Spencer helped retrain her muscles to work properly and eliminated the pressure and pain she was having in her knee. Aside from rehabbing her knee, he's just a good guy that my daughter really liked. He has a great personality and is just wonderful with kids. My daughter was not a huge fan of doing her at-home exercises, but loved going to PT with Spenser. She was actually sad when he told her she was all done and didn't have to come back. It was a great experience and I highly recommend the team at Gaspar PT Torrey Highlands."
